MEL Meter REM-ATDD for Paranormal Investigations

The MEL Meter REM-ATDD combines electromagnetic-field measurement, ambient-temperature monitoring, an independent REM field and audible temperature-change alerts in one portable paranormal investigation instrument.

Its illuminated digital display allows investigators to monitor EMF and temperature readings in dark locations. The integrated alert system can also notify the investigator when the surrounding temperature changes, reducing the need to constantly watch the screen.

Measure EMF and Ambient Temperature

The MEL Meter measures naturally occurring and human-made AC and DC electromagnetic fields while monitoring ambient temperature. These measurements can help investigators establish a baseline and document changes during an investigation.

EMF readings are not proof of paranormal activity. Electrical wiring, appliances, mobile phones, radios, routers and other electronics can affect an EMF meter. Investigators should check for ordinary sources before treating a reading as unexplained.

Integrated REM Field Detection

The telescopic antenna creates an independent electromagnetic field around the top of the instrument. Conductive objects entering or disturbing this field can activate the meter’s colored LED indicators and corresponding audio tones.

This feature is especially useful during stationary monitoring sessions. Positioning the meter on a stable surface or tripod can help prevent accidental activations caused by hands, clothing or nearby equipment.

REM Field Indicators

The meter uses five colored LED indicators to show changes around the REM antenna. Each indicator is associated with an audible tone, making changes easier to notice in a dark room.

Ambient Temperature Deviation Detection

ATDD stands for Ambient Temperature Deviation Detection. After establishing an environmental baseline, the system monitors temperature movement and produces different audible tones for rising and falling temperatures.

The meter also includes a manual baseline control. Investigators can use this control to reset the ATDD system when the surrounding temperature gradually changes during a session.

Night-Investigation Features

The bright red illuminated display is designed to remain readable in dark locations. A high-intensity red flashlight provides additional visibility while being less disruptive to investigators using compatible night-vision equipment.

Glow-in-the-dark buttons make the main controls easier to find when working in limited light. The meter can also capture minimum and maximum readings for later documentation.
