The SBox 2 combines AM/FM sweeping with recording and playback. GhostStop lists forward, reverse, and random station scanning, plus a speaker, wired and wireless headphone options, and a rechargeable battery. It can record a sweep session or work as a conventional voice recorder in a separate mode.
The practical advantage is review. You can save a session and play it back without juggling a second recorder. You will still want an independent room recording if you plan to evaluate an apparent response carefully. Choose it if: Recording, playback, or headphone-based sessions matter more than the simplest controls. Skip it if: You already have a recording setup and would rather carry a smaller sweep-only device.

If you're buying several tools at once, GhostStop's kit pairs an SBox 2 with a Rook EMF meter, an EVP wrist recorder, and a flashlight. The seller names the devices in the base bundle, so you can compare the kit with buying those tools separately.
The kit suits someone who wants radio-sweep audio, a separate room recording, and an EMF meter for logging environmental changes. It may be unnecessary if you already own two or three of those pieces. GhostStop lists a memory card and gear case as optional additions, so don't assume they're in the base package. Verify the current contents before paying.
Choose it if: You need most of the included equipment. Skip it if: You're only replacing a spirit box; buying one unit may cost less.

How to choose without buying extra gear
Start with your recorder. If you already capture the whole room, the P-SB7 may be enough. If you want the box to save its own audio too, look at the SBox 2 and confirm a memory card is included or add one.
Count what is actually in the package. A carrying case, headphones, external speaker, and memory card may be separate purchases. Compare the total checkout cost for the setup you need, not just the device price.
Think about your session method. A radio sweep will pick up broadcasts and speech fragments. Log the station environment, band, sweep direction, and speed. Ask listeners to write down an uncertain sound independently before anyone announces what they think it says. A recognizable word on a recording is not, by itself, proof of a paranormal source.
Know the device type. Onvoy 2 and Ovilus use sensor-driven word or response systems; they do not do the same job as an AM/FM radio-sweep spirit box. If that method interests you, compare it separately rather than assuming it is an upgraded SBox or P-SB7.
