The Lepro 51-LED blacklight emits 395nm ultraviolet light. It can make some residues, minerals and markings fluoresce, helping you locate areas for closer inspection.

Power and package

The current retailer title specifies that batteries are not included. It lists three AA batteries as the power requirement. Check the selected offer before ordering because older product wording may describe a different bundle.

What fluorescence does—and does not—show

A fluorescent mark does not reliably identify a substance or prove an infestation. This light should not be presented as a dependable bed-bug detector, a way to certify a document as genuine or evidence of spirits. Many ordinary fibers, detergents and surface coatings glow under UV.

Compared with filtered 365nm lights, a 395nm light generally produces more visible violet spill. Choose according to the material you want to inspect and compare the response under normal light.

Use UV deliberately

Follow the manufacturer’s UV precautions. Avoid shining it into eyes or prolonged skin exposure, and use a separate white flashlight for moving around the location.
