Klein Tools ET05 Digital Pocket Thermometer

Description

The Klein Tools ET05 digital pocket thermometer measures ambient air and direct-contact temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius. For a beginner investigation kit, it can help document room conditions alongside notes about drafts, heating, open doors, and people moving nearby.

Features that matter

• Backlit display for reading measurements in dim spaces.
• Minimum, maximum, hold, and average functions for reviewing readings.
• A 3-inch stainless steel probe with a protective sheath that can also serve as a handle.
• Two LR44 batteries; automatic power-off after 15 minutes.

What it measures—and what it does not

This is a probe thermometer, not a thermal camera or a non-contact infrared temperature gun. It measures temperature at the probe rather than producing a heat image or identifying a source across the room. Temperature changes record ordinary physical conditions and do not establish paranormal activity.

Buying and use considerations

Choose the ET05 if you want a small, manually read thermometer for a written environmental log. Let readings settle and compare the same location over time. A dedicated data logger is a better fit if you need continuous, timestamped recordings.

Read the manufacturer instructions before use. The probe is not electrically insulated: keep it away from energized conductive parts. This model is not intended for use on people or animals. Keep its button batteries away from children.
