Description
Hear a different side of your investigation
The GhostStop EMF / EVP Mic turns electromagnetic signals into audio through a compatible recorder. Use it to compare a location’s background activity and revisit changes after a session.
Before you buy: this inductive microphone detects EMF, not voices or ordinary room sounds. It needs compatible recording equipment and is not a standalone recorder.
Key features
- Standard 3.5mm plug with an approximately 3-foot cable.
- Compact housing: 1.6 inches square by 1 inch high.
- No separate batteries or charging for the mic.
- Live listening with headphones when your recorder supports input monitoring.
- Designed by Bill Chappell of Digital Dowsing; manufactured by GhostStop.
Make your first session a comparison
Start with a question you can check: does the sound change when a nearby device is switched off? Keep a simple log of where you placed the mic, what equipment was running and when you heard a change. Repeat the same setup before drawing conclusions.
For a more useful record, keep your spoken notes on a separate recording. That makes it easier to compare your observations with the EMF audio later. An unusual sound alone does not establish a paranormal cause.
Compatibility questions
Will it work with any recorder?
No. Check for a compatible microphone input; a headphone socket alone is not sufficient. Ask GhostStop about your exact model before ordering.
Can it record an EVP session by itself?
No. It is an EMF-sensitive accessory, so use a separate microphone or recorder for room audio.
